The Golden Bridge Child Migration from Scotland to Canada 1869–1939

Cottage 22, 'Lincoln and Garfield' (plaque on side of building reads: 'erected by a Scotch [sic] man')

It was one of three cottages, the other two being, number 6, 'Washington' and number 9, 'Anderson', the funding for which was donated by a Scotsman in Philadelphia, U.S.A. 'Washington' was built first. His family complained to him that he was spending their inheritance. He then donated further amounts for the other two cottages!
