Throughout the workshops, we asked people to describe how they feel when they are at their best, and what types of things help their wellbeing. Here is what some of them said:
At my best I feel intelligent and focused. Enough sleep, talking to my friends and creating things help my well-being
At my best I feel relaxed and able to think clearly. I talk to my friends to let off steam and try to get exercise to help my well-being
At my best I feel happy, confident, organized and have plenty of energy. Making time for myself, talking to friends, eating well, sunshine and hugging my cat help my well-being
At my best I feel good inside me. Keeping positive, getting out doing activities (like walking) and planning my days helps me to get through the day and helps my well-being
At my best I feel motivated to do things, get up and get on with the day. I like to talk to my family, go for a walk or visit friends to help my well-being and to make myself feel better
At my best I feel content and happy with myself. Going for walks and spending time on my own helps my well-being
I feel at my best when I am at home with the cats watching a film, the house work is done and the house is smelling clean. I am feeling sleepy and just chilled out. These things help my well-being
At my best I feel peaceful and content that all aspects of my life are balanced. I like to take my dog and walk over the hills at the back of my home and just enjoy the environment. This helps my well-being
At my best I feel relaxed. Walking and friends help my well-being
At my best I feel content and happy. Satisfied with everything and feeling in control. I love driving and I do this by following a plan – listening to music (something like ABBA) helps my well-being
At my best I feel creative, enthusiastic and can get things done. Being able to reflect whilst walking the dog, having a sense that other are pitching in too, help. Also music that is cheerful (but bland enough not to be distracting) helps my well-being
At my best I feel balanced. I talk to my friend on the phone and take big deep breaths to help my well-being
