Scottish Prison Service
Sentence Planning
Community Integration Plan
The Community Integration Plan will provide information about the prisoner's progress throughout sentence. This can include all aspects of Integrated Case Management, programmes, education, work, activities, and interests. The supervising officer and prison social worker will have been involved throughout sentence in developing this plan and should therefore take account of this information in the preparation of reports for the Parole Board.
The preparation of pre-release plans should ensure that work undertaken in the prison is continued on release, where deemed appropriate. The Pre-release case conference is a crucial stage of the process and will confirm the levels of treatment, supervision and monitoring required for each individual on release.
