Diversion from prosecution means that the Procurator Fiscal will offer you the chance to work with social work or a voluntary organisation so that you can get help.
If you take this option and work with them, a report is sent to the PF and there is unlikely to be any further action.
If you refuse or don’t attend all your appointments you can be referred back to the Procurator Fiscal and the case might be taken to Court.
